This project focused on the renovation and extension of Hyde Court, Chalford. The design adds a copper extension to the Grade-II Listed Cotswold stone property. The copper cladding will weather to a beautiful deep rust-coloured patina over time, complementing the stone of the original house against which it sits. The tall feature mullions subtly replicate the proportions of the original stone windows, providing a frame to the glass doors. These open the living space to the picturesque garden to enjoy views across the Golden Valley. A new terracotta herringbone floor links the existing interiors to the new living spaces, using natural stone materials to further connect with the landscape outdoors. New services were also added throughout the house to modernise the property.
